Floated down on a moonbeam into Brooklyn.

You can sort of tell from this picture that our living room color scheme is insanity meets six-year-old. Really I wouldn't even call it a scheme so much as Every Bright Color Ever

The reading at Brooklyn Book Court was sublime, the audience attentive and enthusiastic, and the banter between Janice and myself was extremely pleasurable. I was thrilled to see how excited people were about Janice's book, because she really deserves it. I was also excited that both of my regular Scrabulous foes were there and I got to introduce them, which was extremely geeky and awesome, but only for me. Also I got happy thinking about how I only have ONE reading (with Anne Landsman at Housing Works on March 18) left until May, which is a big relief. I am seriously totally over myself.

Afterwards we all went for drinks and I witnessed the brilliant Lauren Cerand giving tv interview tips to John Sellers. I loved it. "That one was on the house," I said to John.

John is going to be on Fuse this evening, talking to the youth of today about his charming book, Perfect From Now On: How Indie Rock Saved My Life, which is now out in paperback. I may not actually witness it because I have no idea where Fuse is on my teevee, but I will be attending John's book release rock show extravaganza on Saturday night.

The L Magazine gave TKM a nice review right here.

Listen, people, it's not too late to review this book. The book has been out two months as of yesterday, and it made me think: wouldn't it be nice if some (or all) of the many readers of this site shared their pleasure (or displeasure, if it must be) with it over on Amazon or Good Reads or Library Thing or on your blogs or wherever it is that you make your voice heard? Every little bit helps.

And I am now done shilling until paperback. Love you, mean it.
