Flip it and reverse it.

I finished my freelance job.

I am extremely glad to be home.

Now it's time to get back to work. There needs to be a little reboot.

I ran into a writer friend last night who said she had two weeks left till she finished a draft. She's writing 3000 words a day right now. Every time she has to leave her home to do something she feels a little angry to be separated from her book. I was really happy for her, but it made me hungry to be there too. And I am not. Yet. But hopefully soon.

There's six months left to finish a first draft this year. I've got nothing on my plate but copyedits of The Melting Season at some point this summer, and some sort of road trip perhaps this fall. There is absolutely no reason why I can't buckle down and get this first draft done. In fact there's no reason why I can't finish it this summer.

Just think. Another book. How dreamy.

Have a great weekend everyone!
