The kind of girl you can marry.

So it's day, I don't know, 13? Sure, 13 sounds good. It's Day 13 of The Kept Man Galley Giveaway Contest (I think I keep changing the name of it but you get the idea) and this weekend my wish came true and I got a Christmas-y kind of picture from Jonny's dad Ronny.

Behold: Man Trees, Loda, IL. Love it.

Mahoney sent a picture of legendary Sun Studios in Memphis with a Man poster. More cultural landmarks, please. Yes.

And blogger Cardiogirl sent in a nicely arranged Kitchen Supplies and Man. It seems very light and airy in her house.

Seventeen days till you can buy the book in the store. But don't you want to have it before everyone else? There's still time to enter. Post it to the Flickr pool, or email it directly to me, but get in now before the galleys run out.

I did a short review of the film version of Persepolis over on Modern Tonic. I should note that in my preview screening two people got up and left in the first half hour, which I have never seen happen before. It takes a while to get into it for some people perhaps. I definitely enjoyed it, and there's nothing else like it out there, I promise you that. But I think I enjoyed reading the books more.
